Category Leadership
IPF’s proprietary manufacturing process is an example of Indratech’s innovation and world-class technology that distinguishes it from all other cushioning products used in furniture and bedding, whether fiber-based or foam. With more than a dozen patents pending, Indratech is on the leading edge of manufacturing technology for the next generation of seating, bedding and acoustical products, where not only comfort and durability are important, but safe, non-toxic, environmentally friendly content is also a primary focus.
Indratech Is Changing the Shape of the Market
IPF is equally suited to traditional, flat product applications such as mattress pads or bench seating, as well as complex, 3-D parts molded for highly unique applications such as aircraft, automotive, RV or boat interiors and luxury furniture. We quickly and easily adapt IPF production for any application.
Indratech currently holds numerous patents for the manufacturing process required to produce this unique fiber productand Indratech is the only manufacturer of this type of elastomeric material in North America. IPF is suitable for any application where FOAM has historically been used such as seating, bedding, acoustical panels and many others.
Production Methods That Lower Costs
In traditional manufacturing, numerous steps are required to produce a three-dimensional cushioning product, from tooling and hardware design through finishing with an aesthetic covering, such as fabric that is cut and sewn. IPF can improve the old-fashioned manufacturing process by eliminating the cut-and-sew operation and by molding a finished, three-dimensional part.
Easy to Cut, Easy to Mold
Suppliers who currently cut FOAM have found that IPF does not require new or special setups to existing machineryit is easily cut and finished using conventional wire cutters and knife-edge blades. Cutting is clean, precise and simple. Thus, certain items such as mattresses or seat cushions can be switched immediately to IPF without any change in production or assembly.
With Low-Cost Tooling, IPF Offers Tremendous Possibilities
For three-dimensional parts, we have lower-priced alternatives to traditional tooling that are especially important for small-volume runs that require hand fabrication to simulate a molded part. Not only can these inexpensive tooling options lower overall costs, they’ll also help improve the quality of the finished parts.
